Dear Professor Lee,
INTECOL was one of the sponsors of the HydroEco2006 conference 占쏙옙Hydrology and Ecology: The Groundwater/Ecology Connection,占쏙옙 held in September 2006 in Karlovy Vary, Czech Republic.
This HydroEco2006 was a successful meeting and has provided a forum for an interdisciplinary exchange of information between hydrologists and ecologists.
The 2nd International Conference on Hydrology and Ecology, under the theme "Ecosystems Interfacing with Groundwater and Surface Water", will be held in Vienna, 20-23 April 2009.
The objectives, scope and topics of HydroEco2009 will be similar to those for HydroEco2006.
The preliminary version of the HydroEco2009 conference website is available at http://www.natur.cuni.cz/hydroeco2009/.
On behalf of the Organizing Committee, I would like to ask you if INTECOL would, as for HydroEco2006, be interested in being a sponsor for the conference. INTECOL's name and logo would appear on the conference materials. We are not soliciting direct funding; we would like you to publicize the conference (on your website and in announcements to membership). We do not expect any financial contribution.
Given the great experience of the conference organizers, we wish to assure you that HydroEco2009 will again be an excellently organized conference.
Thank you for considering this invitation for sponsorship.
With best regards,
Karel Kovar
